Owning yourself, the song you sing, witnessing God, love, and enlightenment

***

You own yourself as much as you own the sound of the song which you sing, after it has left your lips. You can neither hold it, catch it, nor call it back. Such is the way that your higher self expresses you. The song is dead after it leaves the living singer; to cling is to hold onto and die with the ephemeral, instead of letting go into life.

Like a dream forgotten in the long night's slumber, unless you awaken as the God in you is happening, you will never remember it when the sun finally comes up. To be born of spirit is to rise out of the sea of God's unconsciousness of you, into the air of God's living consciousness.

To bear true witness to god, for god, is god. You must see through your own eyes, for your eyes are God's eyes, and you will be God blinded if you choose to see through another's.

Start back at the naked 'I', and even before that. Start there always. Never stop starting.

There's no way out but to find the door inside of you. Inside of you. Live sad and fearlessly. When you leap off into the wind, then alone the wind shall catch you.

Conquer the world with love, not talent.

When my walls opened up, as I said they did, when the distance between inner and outer became nil, there was no joy, no enlightenment, no noise. I disappeared, that's all.
