God, laws of manifestation, free will, Neale Donald Walsche, Neville, and Wayne Dyer *** |

Having completed this work (ie. THE WAY OF WONDER) on what I would call the experiential, or, mystical, aspect of our Godness, I had thought of writing a sequel describing the practical, applied aspects of our divinity, or, ‘the laws of manifestation’, as it were; which is to say, now that we know we are creators, how do we go about creating. I have decided not to do so for a number of reasons. The first is that there are already at least a handful of books available which outline this process, some similarly and others dissimilarly to my understanding of it. These include, but are not limited to: books by Neville, Conversations with God by Neale Donald Walsch, and Manifest Your Destiny by Wayne Dyer. The interested supplicant will no doubt find other sources as well as these. The second reason is slightly more subtle: it is the matured acceptance of beingness' as it is, which comes from the awakened understanding that everything is already made- that we can produce modifications of creation (like children playing with Playdough or Lego), but we are simply rearranging what we have already been given, and therefore the greater part of what we have created or will create is simply the limited mind applauding its limitations, or, as it is said, “Vanity of vanities, all is vanity.” The third reason, which is still more sublime, and also more personal, runs as follows: indeed we are all living aspects of the one creator, however, since our cognitive abilities and perceptual limitations are hopelessly finite compared to the infinite mind of the Godhead, I have found through experience that, although we have the power perhaps to create whatever we can think of, desire, or imagine, we have not the depth nor breadth of understanding necessary to pull from the infinity of options available and therefore we can only create within the limitations of our own minds; i.e. we cannot create what we cannot think of nor imagine creating. There is, however, a Great Consciousness which does know all, and, if given the authority to do so, will direct a person’s life towards their highest potential, creating unexpected and unimagined options all along the way- though each of us must be active, communicative, and attentive participants throughout it all. Recognizing the magnitude of these last antecedents, it should be easy to understand (although perhaps very difficult to undertake) the important and essential leap of acquiescence avowed in the glorious and troubling affirmation: “Nevertheless, not mine, but Thy will be done.” I have, therefore, written this appendix to offer insight into the recognition of the mystery of God within ourselves, and not as an instruction manual on how to manifest our desires on the earthly plane.
