The Christ within, life as a theatrical stage, and samsara

The Christ is but one fragment of our beings, among many others. What you serve is what you are. If you serve the businessman within yourself, you become a businessman. If you serve the intellectual, you become a scholar. If you serve the hedonist, you become a pleasure seeker. And if you serve the Christ, you become a Christ. It’s all about intention; what you want out of life, and what you are capable of.

And this is the beauty and freedom of our divinity- that it is neither right nor wrong to be a lay about, drunkard, family man, politician, or a Christ, it is simply based on one’s desire for their life. Every theatrical stage needs a diversity of characters, and the movie of our lives is no different. The ‘stage’ of life, therefore, is a valuable double entendre for understanding the place we are at, both outwardly and inwardly, in the essence of our transformative beings.

It is not that I am repulsed by the world, but that I am ready for more now, eager for more now- that I stare up into the great, infinite beyond and know- that is where I am headed, that is where I long to go and begin another course, in another realm, with other trials and adventures waiting.

I know at least that I have finished with my earthly needs and duties, and I know that precisely because ...I chose to finish with them, because the world could no longer entertain nor appease me. For I saw how it was that the magnetic attraction of our desires was what returned us again and again to this plane of samsara and woe. But I myself had enough, and that attitude, if nothing more, is the one which could set me free.
