Love and intent, Vancouver, the film of the soul, and the I AM teachings

***

It was only near the end of the darkest years of my struggle that I would eventually alter that intent by adding what I had come to believe was an essential and missing part of mine and everyone's life, no matter if you intent is to rob banks, sit in the sun, own a city, become a celebrity, a saint, or a drunk, and the addendum I added was ...love.

To return to God, to take as many others with me as I could, and to have love along the way.

That was my intent. If I had to live again I would make that my intent again. But for this life, what follows is the way it manifested out before me.

I built a small hut in the wild outskirts of Vancouver; I took the public transit to the furthest reaches of its line, bashed my way up a rocky embankment, and into the welcoming forest, and there, from a few dead limbs, a nylon tarp, and some twine, built the shack that would become my home for the next many years, as I lived within and without the city, where the middle ground between loneliness and madness became the quarters of my destiny. There amongst the trees, just beyond the limits of the city that had set my soul ablaze, I balanced to a compromised equilibrium.

Everyone lives the life intended for them. There is neither fault nor chance but in the confused and hardened hearts of man.

Everything comes out of us. We precede the lives we live. We find ourselves in the aftermath of our soul's hidden intent. The film has been made already, our duty is to sit quietly in the dark and watch it.

The Self is the singer, the self is the song.

The “I AM” teachings kept creaping into my path. Firstly through a woman who taught me a breathing exercise which, she claimed, Christ had been taught by the Essenes, then in New Zealand, in dreams, and finally in Hawaii.
