Regarding the negative animus, the Devil: the similarity between the Sanskrit word for the Goddess- Devi- and the English word Devil.

 

Assimilation of the dark mother.

 

Deciding that I sided with whatever protected me, I birthed the Dragon- the instinct of self preservation.

 

I have merged God and his shadow, the Devil. But what of the Goddess and her darkness? What is the Devi’s Devil.

 

The devouring Father within us is our judgment against ourselves. The devouring Mother within us is our constricting, self-loathing and self-destruction. Both of these amount to strangulation.

Negative says ‘no’, or ‘not good enough.

Positive embraces with love.

 

The eternal free, identitiless one, who is Lilith.

 

Awakening to the eternal self which transcends the limitations of this realm, and yet includes this realm.

At the Kali Temple in Dakshineswar, Calcutta, Tanis and I meditating. T- felt herself being pulled into the earth, and I, independently, felt a magnetic pull on my spirit into her. She knew then that the female must be grounded in order for the spirit to descend.

 

Twice in the Calcutta railway station, eight years apart I thought I heard my name announced over the loudspeaker.
