Ship and anchor, the mind, a herd of water buffalo, a lynch mob, and folly

***

The ship won't sail until the anchor gives way.

Every time you come to a place, assume you will never leave it, and when you leave it, assume you will never return.

It is better for you that you did what you should not have done, than to have not done what what you should have.

All mind and no mind eventually come to the same end.

If you don't get it, don't pretend you got it, or you'll never get it.

A herd of water‑buffalo stomping on an egret.

A lynch mob of ids, stringing up an ego.

Even everything that is not given is given. Everything.

The message is the reading of the message and not the message itself.

Today's wise choice, tomorrow's folly.

It's a light weight, we're just too damned weak to carry it.
