The light hearted living of life

The fact of the matter is that only the mind can be tamed, and it is by facts and images that this happens; the heart will remain ever wild and free; we need only decide to prioritize it above the demands of the lifeless cognitive apparatus of thought.

Thus the conceptual faculties must function as a byproduct of the heart, and not the other way around, or the One true movement will be split in two, de-cision will occur, and the spirit will die in the tomb of duality.

"We are all guilty of a crime," says Henry Miller, "the great crime of not living life to the full." (Sexus, p341).

The spirit must be free in order to be. And the only way for the spirit to be free is to not adhere conceptually, because of fear, to any paradigm of being. Fear is the outcome of conceptualization, for as it is said, we only fear the unknown. Ah, but wait a minute, haven't we already concluded that everything is unknown? Yes, we know nothing. But then shouldn't we fear everything? No. For fear of the unknown exists only when we think that there is a 'known', which there isn't. Without the 'relativity' of the known, there is no separate 'unknown' to be feared, and therefore we are not limited in life by our concerns for security, consistency, and comfort, for these have lost their validity, and therefore are no longer points of reference.

When we unknow all of life, we tend to lift-up and glide into a paradigmless paradigm, because we are no longer confined to trying to attain certain 'things', or understandings, and therefore are freer to enjoy the subtle exuberance of pure being.

In the rock band 'The Eagles' lyrics, it is suggested to "Lighten up while you still can, don't even try to understand", which is certainly the way to be released from the constant mental rattle, and solicitudes of the petty mind. To 'lighten up while we still can' gives us the levity which is the soul's levitation.

The Light, after all, is not heavy ...but light. To fly we must see through the false concerns and inbred concerns of the ubiquitous lie. We must unknow our cares, by taking life less seriously- by 'lightening' up. Which is to say, to un-weigh the anchor of the mind, we must be ...'light-hearted'.

To live is to live limitlessly. Anything less is decay.

"Liberation", states Shankara, "is the cutting of the knot of ignorance in the heart." (Crest Jewel of Discrimination, p113)
