Ambiguity, intention, a football game, the future, thought, and ownership
Ambiguity is a common thread of rational discourse. Since more than one (often many) abstractions fit the data, ambiguity results.
We perceive intention in others, in the world, and in ourselves. We give intention to the world.
If a spectator at a football game has some effect on the game by being there, then naturally he has some effect on the game by not being there. This is the value of non-participation.
Action creates the future. Therefore our actions now are the future.
At the mercy of thought: we have to use thought to solve the problem of thought.
Just as people are owned by the objects they 'believe' they own, so are they owned by the knowledge they have.
