Eastern mysticism, Descartes, Saint Theresa, action, misanthropy, and God
*** Eastern mysticism has disproved the only sound, workable hypothesis in western philosophy, which is Descartes' "I think, therefore I am." The easterners would say, "I think, therefore I damn."
Saint Theresa (the Little Way): the task at hand was the most important thing to be doing at that moment, and each task was a part of the total harmony of the universe (ie reductionism synchronized with an holistic spirituality).
Often the assumed dominant person uses the other as a refuge of security and self-boosting, much as the lame use a crutch.
On the basis of nothing more than the possibility of action does a man enter into a particular action.
In a community of subconscious masochists, misanthropy is a virtue.
God is a symbol to most, a feeling to few.
