Creation, the trinity, euphoria, precognition, Eve, and gratitude

Three is the number of creation. An emergent property arises out of a trinity.

What is the motivating force behind life? It is life itself; the nature of life is to survive and reproduce. Many entities have come into existence that did not have the vitality to survive and reproduce, and they have long since disappeared. Vitality is that which defines life.

The only belief which the uninitiated can have is that there is something attainable which he has not yet attained.

There is so little correlation between the mind and the world; we expect, simply, that since they evolved together, that they are compatible.

At times we may not want moments of euphoria, because then we could not endure the prosaic rest.

Precognition is an invention of natural selection. The animal that can see the future can avoid it. Though precognition may not necessarily be conscious within the organism utilizing it.

Con-fusion, the opposite of fusion, of unity. Or is it the opposite of profusion?

An obsession has no comparison (or, at least, one who is obsessed does not see any comparison or alternative). The absolute is perforce an obsession, and the rewards of unity with the absolute are proportional to the obsessive need.

The objects of desire are the hallucinogenic morphine of the soul- relieving the symptoms, not the disease.

I remember hating Eve for eating the apple. Symbolic allegories should not be told to the literal mind of a child.

It is easier to be thankful for oneself in the world, than for the world. And perhaps it is the act of gratitude which matters, not the object of gratitude.
