A sinner needs forgiveness, for he cannot forgive himself.

 

Gratitude has no morality.

 

On the methodology of surrender (applied metaphysics): It is not the object surrendered to, but the act of surrendering that is important.

 

To surrender precludes expectation, especially that of benevolence.

 

Print has taken the place of the oral tradition. An impersonal society requires an impersonal media. Or, an impersonal media makes for an impersonal society.

 

Non-fiction is defined by its pedagogic, omnisciently pedantic quality.
