Capitalism, motivational selling, personifying the state, philanthropy, misanthropy, and Camus

***

The salesman is the workhorse of capitalism, and his is the only occupation to be constantly fed motivational tapes, and inspirational text which tells him that selling is a great job, which it isn't, or he wouldn't have to be told it is.

Experiencing things before they happen, as they happen, and after they have happened.

As the sun hides stars, life hides death.

People are spectators to themselves.

By personifying the state or a company we mentally insulate the decision makers. (ie. what will Ottawa's decision be?)

We live between philanthropy and misanthropy.

Camus: absurdity emerges from the world, and from our being in the world. Therefore it is not the world which does not make sense, it is that we are here that does not make sense.
