Consciousness as an emergent property of evolution.

War is a societal bloodletting.

Marshal McLuhan: the creation of printing, and hence the reliance on the visual sense is responsible for the habit of seeing all things as continual and connected.

If the medium is the message, then for objective study, one needs methodological transcendence.

A person is a situation.

To understand business, become a businessman. To see God, become Godlike.

Neurosis is not obsession with others, it is obsession with self.

The self is the infrastructure of experience.

We hear only one end of a telephone conversation when talking with another, for that other is always carrying on a dialogue within him or herself.
