Norman Kemp Smith, the divine, the creator, logic, Huey Lewis, and righteous indignation
*** Norman Kemp Smith: "The divine is not known through analogy of the self, in regards to omniscience, omnipotence, eternity, omnipresence..." Therefore we grant attributes to the divine which we assume it should have; attributes which we cannot conceptualize.
Can a car conceive of its creator. A creation is often only of instrumental value for its creator. Creations are extensions of the creator. Or perhaps our existence is granted by association only: are we the hair on God's knuckles?
Logic is a tool to some, a hindrance to some, and a weapon to others.
Huey Lewis' song 'I want a new drug' is basically a plagiarization of Huxley.
Despising form but not content, it's tough not to be righteously indignant about righteous indignation.
Expecting regrets, regretting expectations.
